The redeveloped ‘jetty’ area was officially christened with a barbecue in early December.
The construction and site works were completed in the winter by builder, Phil Bartley, with help from Upstream: Friends of Central Park volunteers. Thanks to Transpower for funding the project under its Community Funding scheme and the Wellington City Council for assistance with design and materials.
Now, in the hot summer weather, the area is perfect for picnics and stream exploration!
